2019年、ダエロンはパリ市の都市デザインプロジェクトの一環で20区にあるブランシャール通りに猛暑に悩まされる都市のクールダウンシステムAéro-Seine（アエロ・セーヌ）をデザインした。それは19世紀に使われていた水道管を利用して水場をつくるもので、当時すでにセーヌ川の水を循環させて、都市の清掃や庭園の水やりに使っていた事実を参考にしたシステムだ。ダエロンはそれを実現させる前から、ドローイングやアートプロジェクトの機会を使って都市空間の水の循環についての問題を提起していた。その作品は実にプレイフルでカラフル。一見、シリアスな問題を扱っているように見えないけれど、彼女は着々と問題の解決にむかって呼びかけを続けていた。そのアプローチの方法とは？
In 2019, Isabelle Daëron designed the cooling down system ‘Aéro-Seine’ to face with heat-waves issue in city of Paris. It was the project that she rediscovered and used the old water tube of 19th century, that people used to take the water from Seine river for gardening and cleaning the street. Even before working on this project, Daëron had been proposing the issue of water in urban environment by making the art installation. Her work is quite playful and colorful, yet she was constantly calling for people’s awareness to face with this issue.

1983年フランス生まれ。リサーチデザイナー、ENSCI-Les Ateliers卒。人間と自然資源が共存するシナリオを作ることをデザインの課題にしている。プロダクト、都市、空間デザインなど、分野を横断し、環境問題と循環、モビリティー、パブリックスペースなどを視野に入れたプロジェクトを行っている。その他、Topique（トピック）と名付けた課題を設定することで、その解決に向けてのアイディアをかたちにしている（例えば、Topique-cielは雨の後の水たまりを鏡に見立てることで都市空間にある資源の見方を変えること、Topique-feuilles は地面に落ちた落ち葉を騒々しい屋外用掃除機で掃くのではなく風で吹いてもらうというプロジェクト）。
Designer and research designer, graduated from ENSCI-Les Ateliers and Esad in Reims, Isabelle Daëron designs scenarios connecting natural ressources and habitability. Her multifaceted approach focus on the fields of product design, urban design and set design. Her projects put into perspective the importance of environmental issues and their scope of application (flows, mobility, public space).

Hamacho Liberal Arts is a study group taken place at Hamacho LAB. 1F, Tokyo, initiated by architect o+h. By having the opportunity to talk with people who create the values, such as artist, designer, architects, editor, curator etc., and share the process of their project, it aim to broaden the view that is otherwise being limited by their specialities and become an opportunity to unlearn and relearn for people in all levels of social practice.
